Security and data

Know what the app can do—and what still requires you.

Ivyify combines Shopify authorization, scoped workflows, and merchant approval gates so content work stays visible and controlled.

Current product controls

Shopify authorization

Store access begins through Shopify's authorization flow. The exact requested permissions are shown before installation.

Merchant-approved publishing

Draft creation does not equal live publishing. Shopify publishing remains a separate approved action.

Privacy lifecycle support

The app registers Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks for customer data requests and shop or customer redaction.

Secure transport

Production web and app traffic is expected to use HTTPS. Sensitive credentials belong on the server, not in public website code.

Data use at a glance

  • Relevant Shopify catalog and content data authorized by the merchant
  • Content drafts, review state, and approved publishing instructions
  • Service logs needed for reliability, security, and support
  • Optional measurement data only when the merchant connects that source

Shared responsibility

AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate. Merchants remain responsible for reviewing claims, links, legal requirements, and final publishing decisions.
